EPDM* rubber roofing membrane provides an incredibly durable, long-lasting waterproof solution, this makes it an excellent alternative to traditional roofing felt.
EPDM has the added advantage that can be installed quickly using water-based adhesives. It’s performance has been consistently high on roofs throughout the UK and the rest of the World.
THE DIFFERENCE
Why use EDPM?
Over time, traditional membranes and flat roof coverings will degrade, becoming brittle and eventually cracking, leading to leaks and even structural damage. Joins and repairs are particularly vulnerable. Depending on your location and climate problems can appear in just a few years.
Modern rubber roofing membrane is more resistant to ultra-violet (UV) radiation, ozone, and temperature changes. It remains flexible even during severe building movement.
THE PROCESS
Fitting an EDPM roof
An EDPM membrane roof can often be fitted as a single sheet because it is available in sizes up to 12.5metres x 30metres. Even where joins are needed, there will be far fewer of them, helping to keep maintenance throughout its lifetime to a minimum.
Once delivered to your property, the EDPM material will be unrolled in place and will be allowed to relax to make sure a smooth finish is achieved. Then the water-based adhesives can be applied to complete the installation.
A Long-Lasting Roofing Solution
Properly installed EPDM rubber roofing can last for up to 50 years, so you can benefit from high standards of waterproofing and a long-term solution to your needs.
